Ahh, here we are. . .aproximately 3 weeks until school starts back up, and I have just now started my blog. Starting this blog was one of my first goals for the summer. and yet for some reason it fell so deep in the pile that it just now got dug up in the later part of July.
So one may be thinking, "Michael, who are you and why are you starting a blog?" Well I can easily answer the first part of the question and I hope as I begin making blog posts and learning more about the blog life, I can come back and fully answer the second part of the question. Still, I will take a stab at answering the above question.
Who am I?:
- Michael Willis
- Senior Marketing Management Major at Southeast Missouri State University
- 21 years young
- Born and raised in Farmington, MO (small town 70 miles south of St. Louis)
- soon-to-be social media intern with the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau
- Member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity at SEMO
- St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Rams, and St. Louis Blues fan (I have a feeling a lot of my blogs will feature my insights on the world of sports both locally and nationally)

- in a relationship for almost 3 years with a girl that I met freshman year of college

Why am I starting a blog?
- I was asked to start one for my internship in order to post about my experiences as an intern.
- I want to promote the wonderful, and underappreciated town of Cape Girardeau, MO and the city of St. Louis, MO
- I'm interested in learning more about the world of blogging.
- I hope to meet others who share the same interests as I do, and maybe learn more about myself through the blog and networking.
- I read other blogs and get jealous that they have such cool blogs and I don't (soon to change though, of course ;) )

great job, michael! i love the fact that you have a blogger "star" that you follow and aspire to be like. looking forward to reading more. i would suggest putting a picture of yourself in your profile or somewhere on the site and move the google search box from the header to the right sidebar. and, don't forget to add a twitter feed. it's in the gadgets/plugins--you just have to search for it.
